Sa Gar Ahla Ku Htone (aka "Wordtheraphy") is a national Myanmar program created by my art collective Pyinsa Rasa in collaboration with Love Frankie and Facebook. The program aimed to use the power of artistic expression to inspire the transformation of negative internet culture into one that promotes empathy, respect, and kindness online.

We designed a poignant multi-disciplinary traveling exhibition featuring ten artworks by prominent artists. The project included an online campaign I managed in collaboration with Love Frankie to promote the upcoming exhibition, create conversations and promote a shift to positive online behaviours on a national scale.

MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT

In May 2019, we brought together leading creative talents in Myanmar for a workshop to (re)imagine how they can inspire people across Myanmar to adopt more positive online behaviours.

Following the workshop, the artists were invited to submit a proposal to create a piece of art to provoke new thinking, consideration, and action on these issues. In June 2019, we shortlisted ten artists to bring their projects and messages to life.

For six months, the artists undertook research, workshops, consultations. They had many challenging conversations and reflections to create an exhibition showcased at the heart of Yangon’s most iconic building, The Secretariat.
