In 2017, I co-funded Pyinsa Rasa, one of Myanmar's first art collectives. We united the country's leading talents to create programs that accelerated the growth of its arts scene.

One year after our creation, we were invited to develop a six-month program of inclusive cultural events in the heart of Yangon's landmark buildings, the Secretariat.

Focusing on education, engagement, and inclusivity, the project fostered creative collaborations and stimulated discussion on Yangon's future as a cultural center.

We aimed to show how an open and accessible platform for art and creative expression, and a future where art and cultural initiatives are strongly supported, can benefit Yangon and the people of Myanmar.

A BEAST, A GOD AND A LINE

Presented by TS1 Yangon and Pyinsa Rasa

We presented the Myanmar premiere of the international exhibition A beast, a god, and a line. The exhibition was showcased in Hong Kong’s Para Site art centre and the Dhaka Art Summit, followed by the Warsaw Museum of Modern Art.

A beast, a god and a line was woven by connections and circulations of ideas across a geography with Asia at its core. This geography is commonly called the Asia-Pacific, but it could also be defined by several other definitions, which this exhibition explored and untangled.
